The Doriana Method™

A Personalized Approach to Facial Longevity

Look Like Yourself. Longer.™

Aging is inevitable. Looking unlike yourself doesn’t have to be.

The Doriana Method™ is Dr. Doriana Cosgrove’s personalized, physician-led approach to facial longevity—designed to preserve what makes you uniquely you while thoughtfully addressing how your face changes over time.

Rather than treating individual lines, wrinkles or areas of volume loss in isolation, Dr. Cosgrove evaluates the face as a whole—considering skin quality, collagen, facial fat and volume, structural support, proportions and the natural changes occurring beneath the surface.

And she looks beyond what your face needs today.

She considers what it may need 5, 10 or even 15 years from now.

From that evaluation, Dr. Cosgrove develops an individualized Facial Longevity Roadmap built around four principles:

PRESERVE • RESTORE • REGENERATE • MAINTAIN

The goal isn’t to chase youth.

It isn’t to change your face.

And it isn’t to perform more treatments.

It’s to make thoughtful decisions at the right time so you can continue to look naturally and recognizably like yourself—for longer.

Facial Aging Happens At More Than The Surface

Aging is often described in terms of wrinkles.

But wrinkles are only one part of a much more complex process.

Over time, changes occur throughout multiple layers of the face.

Skin

Collagen and elastin gradually decline. Years of sun exposure can contribute to pigmentation, uneven texture and changes in overall skin quality.

Facial Fat & Volume

The youthful face has characteristic areas of fullness and contour. With aging, facial fat compartments change in volume and position, contributing to hollowing, flattening and changes in facial proportions.

Structural Support

Age-related changes in the facial skeleton and supporting tissues can influence facial shape and the support available to the overlying soft tissues.

Muscle & Facial Movement

Repeated facial movement contributes to expression lines, while changes in the relationship between muscle, skin and supporting structures influence how the face appears over time.

Tissue Quality

Changes in collagen, elasticity, hydration and overall tissue quality affect how healthy and vibrant the face appears.

This is why treating one wrinkle or replacing volume in one area does not necessarily address facial aging as a whole.

The Whole-Face Assessment

We Start With Your Face. Not With a Procedure.

Every face ages differently.

Genetics, anatomy, sun exposure, lifestyle, weight changes, hormonal changes and previous aesthetic treatments can all influence the aging process.

During a Facial Longevity consultation, Dr. Cosgrove evaluates:

  • Skin quality, texture and pigmentation
  • Facial proportions and balance
  • Areas of volume loss
  • Facial fat distribution
  • Structural support
  • Collagen loss and skin laxity
  • Dynamic facial movement
  • Previous aesthetic treatments
  • The patient’s stage of facial aging
  • Individual goals and priorities

Just as importantly, she considers what should be left alone.

The objective is not to erase every sign of aging or change the characteristics that make someone’s face unique.

It is to determine where thoughtful intervention may help—and where restraint may create the most natural result.

The Facial Longevity Roadmap

Not Just a Treatment Plan. A Long-Term Strategy.

Traditional aesthetic medicine can sometimes become reactive:

A wrinkle appears—treat the wrinkle.

Volume disappears—add filler.

Skin becomes sun damaged—perform a laser treatment.

The Doriana Method™ takes a different approach.

We consider both what may benefit the patient now and how today’s decisions may affect the way that patient ages in the years ahead.

A Facial Longevity Roadmap may include treatments recommended now, treatments that can wait, preventive strategies and treatments a patient may never need.

The roadmap is not fixed.

It evolves as the patient evolves.

The Four Principles of the Doriana Method™

Preserve

Protect What You Have.

The emphasis is on protecting healthy skin, collagen, facial balance and the features that make each patient unique.

This may include medical-grade skincare, sun protection, collagen-supporting treatments and carefully selected aesthetic treatments.

The objective is not to begin treatments earlier simply to do more.

It is to intervene thoughtfully when doing so provides meaningful benefit.

Restore

Address What Has Changed.

Rather than simply filling individual lines, we ask why a change has occurred.

  • Is it primarily:
  • Skin quality?
  • Volume loss?
  • Changes in structural support?
  • Collagen depletion?
  • Sun damage?
  • Muscular activity?
  • Often, it is a combination.

Treatment may therefore involve thoughtfully selected combinations of injectables, biostimulators, energy-based treatments, resurfacing, facial volume restoration or other modalities.

The objective is to restore balance and proportion—not create an overfilled or artificial appearance.

Regenerate

Support the Quality of the Tissue Itself.

Regenerative aesthetics is an important component of The Doriana Method™.

Rather than focusing exclusively on replacing volume or correcting visible features, regenerative strategies are intended to support tissue quality and the body’s natural repair and renewal processes.

Depending upon the patient, Dr. Cosgrove may incorporate platelet-derived therapies, autologous fat-based approaches, collagen-stimulating treatments and other regenerative modalities.

These treatments do not replace conventional aesthetic medicine.

They complement it.

Maintain

Because Facial Longevity Is a Journey.

Once meaningful improvement has been achieved, the emphasis shifts toward maintaining those results.

Maintenance may include periodic skin treatments, skincare, collagen stimulation, carefully timed injectables, regenerative therapies and other individualized strategies.

Dr. Cosgrove periodically reassesses the face and adjusts the roadmap as anatomy, skin and priorities change.

The goal is thoughtful continuity—not endless treatment.

The Right Treatment At The Right Time

Not Just a Treatment Plan. A Long-Term Strategy.

One of the most important principles of The Doriana Method™ is knowing when not to treat.

Treatments are tools—not the starting point.

Depending upon the patient’s individual Facial Longevity Roadmap, treatment options may include:

  • Neuromodulators
  • Dermal fillers
  • Biostimulators
  • Facial fat transfer
  • Nanofat and autologous fat-based treatments
  • PRP and PRF
  • Laser and energy-based treatments
  • Skin resurfacing
  • Microneedling
  • Advanced facial treatments
  • Medical-grade skincare
  • Other regenerative approaches

Some treatments may be combined.

Others may be intentionally separated and sequenced over time.

Some may not be appropriate at all.

The art of aesthetic medicine isn’t simply knowing how to perform a treatment.

It’s knowing which treatment to choose, when to use it—and when not to use it.

Natural Doesn't Mean Doing Nothing

It Means Knowing When Enough Is Enough.

Many patients want to look younger and healthier without looking “done.”

That philosophy is fundamental to The Doriana Method™.

Natural rejuvenation does not mean avoiding aesthetic treatments. It means using them thoughtfully, conservatively and in harmony with the patient’s existing anatomy.

Friends may notice that you look rested.

Family may notice that you look healthier.

But they should still see you.

Thinking In Years, Not Appointments

Aesthetic medicine is often marketed around the next treatment.

The Doriana Method™ asks a different question:

Where do we want your face to be 5 or 10 years from now?

That perspective can change the decisions we make today.

Sometimes preservation is more appropriate than correction.

Sometimes improving skin quality should come before adding volume.

Sometimes restoring structural support changes what is needed elsewhere.

Sometimes regenerative treatment can complement traditional aesthetic treatment.

And sometimes the best decision is to wait.

The roadmap is designed around the patient—not around the treatment menu.

Facial Longevity Through The Decades

Your Face Changes. Your Strategy Should Too.

Please incorporate or adapt the existing age/decade content on the DMA website into this philosophy.

20s & 30s — Preserve

Focus on prevention, sun protection, skin health and maintaining what is already present.

40s — Preserve + Early Restoration

Changes in collagen, pigmentation, skin quality and facial volume may become more apparent.

50s — Restore + Regenerate

Volume loss, tissue laxity, skin changes and structural aging can become increasingly important. Combination strategies may become more valuable.

60s & Beyond — Restore + Regenerate + Maintain

The objective is not to recreate the face someone had at 30.

It is to help the patient look healthy, vibrant, balanced and beautifully appropriate for where they are today.

How Can I Get Started?

Your Face. Your Timeline. Your Roadmap.

Patients do not need to know which treatment they need before coming to Desert Med Aesthetics.

That’s our job.

The consultation begins with a conversation about what the patient sees, what concerns them, what they want to preserve and how they would like to age.

Then Dr. Cosgrove evaluates the face as a whole.

Together, we develop a roadmap designed not simply around the next appointment—but around the years ahead.
